Term
The term length is 5 years
Purpose
Inspect city public parks and playgrounds and make recommendations and suggestions to the City Manager for the equipment, managing, controlling or maintaining thereof. May also recommend rules and regulations for the public use of parks. (Reference Ordinance Number 51-8 and Section 32.060 of the Piqua Code)
The duties of the Board shall include studying, investigating, planning, advising, reporting, and recommending to the City Manager and the various departments of the city any action, program, plan, or legislation which the Board determines to be necessary or advisable for the care, preservation, trimming, planting, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees or shrubs in the public ways, streets, alleys, and upon properties owned, leased, or in any manner controlled by the city. (Section 33.27 of the Piqua Code)
