The Piqua Fire Department conducts a routine test of the outdoor warning sirens on the first Saturday of each month, and Miami County conducts siren tests on the second Wednesday of each month.
Crews test the sirens to ensure equipment is operating properly for the safety of the community when severe weather strikes. Please keep in mind that the tests are intended to be heard outdoors and may not be audible inside a residence or building.
The first test of the season will be conducted tomorrow, Saturday, March 7, 2026. You can expect these tests at 10 a.m. every first Saturday and second Wednesday now through November.
