Piqua Power System is providing mutual aid to the Village of Minster following severe storms that moved through the region Thursday evening.
Early this morning, Piqua received a request for assistance from Minster Superintendent John Neuman. Minster, an American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) community, reported significant wind damage, including 17 downed poles along State Route 119.
In response, Piqua deployed four linemen — Russel Eichhorn, Derek Meyer, Don Nash and Tyler Thompson — along with a bucket truck, digger truck and support vehicle, to assist with restoration efforts alongside Minster crews.
Providing mutual aid is a fundamental part of public power, and Piqua is proud to support fellow AMP communities in restoring safe and reliable service as quickly as possible.
